TAP - Tunisia, Egypt explore avenues to scale up health cooperation 

Tunis, June 23 (TAP) - Health Minister Mustapha Ferjani and Egyptian Vice-President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Health and Population

Khaled Abdelghaffar had a meeting on Monday afternoon in Cairo.

The talk offered the opportunity to debate ways to scale-up cooperation in priority health-related areas, the ministry said in a press release, including the pharmaceutical industry and health tourism. This in addition to intensifying the the exchange of successful experiences as well as scientific and technical cooperation.

The leaderships of the two countries are keen to see these exceptional ties yield concrete projects that uphold the right of all citizens to good healthcare, the officials said.

Ferjani was leading Monday the Tunisian delegation to the meeting of the Regional Steering Committee of the Africa Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC).
