Inter Milan were held to a 1-1 draw by Monterrey in their opening FIFA Club World Cup game in Pasadena on Tuesday.
Former Spain defender Sergio Ramos had put the Mexican side in front but Argentina forward Lautaro Martinez was on target to level the score.
The game at the Rose Bowl was Inter's first under new coach Cristian Chivu, who came in after Simone Inzaghi left for Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal following their 5-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final.
