PARIS — Gymnast Kaylia Nemour secured Algeria’s first-ever gymnastics Olympic gold medal, after winning the uneven bars competition with a remarkable 15.700 points, Sunday at the Bercy Arena on Day 9 of the Paris Olympic Games (July 26-August 11).

The 17-year-old Nemour outperformed China’s Qiu Qiyuan (15.500 points) and America’s Sunisa Lee (14.800 points).
