SAIDA — The Algerian Agency for Investment Promotion (AAPI) registered 8,465 declared investment projects nationwide, valued at DZD3,840 billion, as of the end of July, according to the AAPI Director General Omar Rekkache’s announcement in Saida on Sunday.

Chairing a regional seminar on investment, in the presence of the governors of Saida, Tiaret, Sidi Bel Abbes, Mascara, Naama, El Bayadh, along with investors and project leaders from these provinces, the same official underscored that “the investments registered through the counters of the Algerian Agency for Investment Promotion, since the launch of its activity in November 2022 and until July 31 last, have reached 8,465 investment projects totaling DZD3,840 billion.”

He further said that these investment projects are expected to generate about 210,000 direct jobs.

Rekkache noted that during the same period, the projects concerning foreign operators registered by the AAPI have reached 154 projects, including 55 foreign direct investments (FDI) and 99 others within the framework of partnership.

He underscored that these investments, which the Agency works to implement, “will be a tangible reality, contributing to the achievement of the major economic objectives set by the country’s highest authorities, so as to reach the highest economic growth rates.”
