Napoli 's Scotland midfielder Scott McTominay has returned to training—starting with a gym session at the Castel Volturno Technical Centre—after undergoing a cardiac ablation procedure.
    The intervention, required to correct a mild, benign arrhythmia, took place on September 8 at Spire Manchester Hospital in England.
    The 29-year-old ex Man Utd player, who returned to Italy last Wednesday after spending two weeks of complete rest with his family, has begun an athletic recovery program aimed at his full and definitive reintegration into the squad.
    In the coming days, McTominay must pass a mandatory medical check-up to regain his sports clearance before he can return to competitive action for Napoli.
    It is possible he could be called up for the next league match, where Napoli will face Frosinone at the Maradona stadium on Saturday, October 10.
