America's Cup excitement is high in Naples with the Preliminary Regatta for sailing's most prestigious competition getting under way on Friday.
    The sport's fans in the city got their first taste of the action on Thursday, when Prada-backed Italian team Luna Rossa won all three practice races.
    The Preliminary Regatta takes place in the Bay of Naples until Sunday with teams racing AC40 yachts capable of speeds in excess of 45 knots.
    It is a chance for them to dial in their racing skills ahead of the main event here next year.
    Different boats, AC75s, will be used for the Louis Vuitton Cup, the winner of which will have the chance to challenge America's Cup Defender Emirates Team New Zealand for the ultimate prize.
