AC Milan is aiming to win Serie A and not just get the Champions League spot it missed out on last season sparking a major clear-out, Croatia great Luka Modric said Tuesday as the ex Real Madrid midfielder, who turns 41 on September 9, looked forward to his second season with the Rossoneri.
    Milan appointed ex Man Utd boss Ruben Amorim as new coach and have bought a slew of players including World Cup winning Spain centre-forward Goncalo Ramos and Belgium striker Diego Moreira in their bid to revive their fortunes.
    "My mission is to give my all and help the team win as much as possible.

I'm back as if it were the first time and I had to win," said Modric.
    "There's no point in talking too much: now we have to act.

Stay humble, work hard, stay united. When you play for a club like AC Milan, the most normal thing is to think about winning (Serie A), not just qualifying for the Champions League." Modric, in an interview with the club's official channels, summarized his state of mind on the eve of his second year with the Rossoneri.
    "You have to aim for the best: that's why I'm here, that's my goal. Along with the club, the owners, and the coach," he explained, "we share the same goals, and for these reasons, I decided to return."
