Istat said Tuesday that Italian exports rose by 1.6% in June with respect to May and by 9.8% compared to the same month last year.
    The national statistics agency said imports were up too, rising by 1.2% in month-on-month terms and by 13.2% compared to June 2025.
    It said exports to EU countries increased by 6.7% with respect to May 2026, while exports to non-EU countries dropped by 3.6%.
    Imports rose both from EU countries (+1.1%) and non-EU countries (+1.4%).
    Istat said that, in year-on-year terms, outgoing flows grew by +15.1% for EU countries and by +4.1% for non-EU countries, while incoming flows rose by +9.1% for EU area and by +18.7% for non-EU area.
    Italy had a trade surplus of 4.232 billion euros in June.
