Martina Favaretto beat fellow Italian Arianna Errigo 15-7 to take gold in the final of the women's foil at the fencing world championships in Hong Kong on Monday.
    It is 24-year-old Favaretto's first world title.
    Errigo, meanwhile, claimed her 24th world championship medal at the age of 38, 17 years after winning her first in Antalya in 2009.
    Italy tops the medals table at the end of the individual events with one gold and four silvers.
