Casey Affleck, Florian Zeller, Lance Oppenheim, Werner Herzog and Hirokazu Kore-eda are among the directors who will have movies running for the Golden Lion at the 83rd Venice Film Festival, which runs from September 2 to 12, Artistic Director Alberto Barbera said Thursday as he presented the line-up.
    Affleck is presenting Company with Nick Nolte at the world's oldest film festival, while Zeller's Bunker stars Penelope Cruz and Javier Badem.
    Oppenheim's Primetime with Robert Pattinson, Martin McDonagh's Wild Horse Nine featuring Sam Rockwell, Herzog's Bucking Fastard with sisters Kate and Rooney Mara, Hirokazu Kore-eda's Look Back and Shinya Tsukamoto's Mr.

Nelson, Did You Kill People? are in competition too.
    It had already been announced that Danny Boyle's Ink, the story of Rupert Murdoch's acquisition of British newspaper The Sun, will open the festival.
    Italy will also have a strong contingent in the competition.
    These include Palme d'Or-winning filmmaker Nanni Moretti's latest work, Succederà Questa Notte (It Will Happen Tonight), and Andrea Pallaoro's The Echo Chamber, based on a screenplay by Bernardo Bertolucci.
