Italian Soccer Federation (FIGC) technical director Paolo Maldini and consultant Leonardo have been spotted in Barcelona, amid reports by Sky Sport that they met Pep Guardiola at the weekend to talk to him about the vacant position of Italy coach.
    The former Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester City boss is currently taking a break from soccer after 10 years in the Premier League.
    Other options include Andrea Pirlo and Roberto Mancini.
    2006 World Cup hero Pirlo is the manager of UAE First Division League club Dubai United, while former Italy coach Mancini is currently free.
    The Azzurri won Euro 2020 with Mancini on the bench but they also failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup under him.
