APS - University of Algiers 3, APS launch Master's degree in News Agency Journalism

ALGIERS - The University of Algiers 3 "Ibrahim Sultan Cheibout" and Algeria Press Service announced in a joint statement on Sunday the launch of a new academic Master's degree dedicated to higher education and scientific research in the field of "News Agency Journalism," ahead of the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year.

The launch of this academic specialty, a first in Algeria, is part of the cooperation and exchange agreement signed in November 2024 by the Rector of the University of Algiers 3, Khaled Rouaski, and the Director General of Algeria Press Service, Samir Gaid, particularly the aspect related to strengthening communication between the academic sector and national institutions, and providing them with scientific and technical expertise to support their development requirements and modernization plans.

The statement added that this new academic milestone aligns with APS's qualitative transformation toward a comprehensive media model and its expanding regional and international reach.

It also mirrors the growing dynamism of the Faculty of Information and Communication Sciences at the University of Algiers 3, a leading national academic hub in the field.
