NNA - Lebanese Agriculture Minister Nizar Hani concluded his official visit to the Netherlands, emphasizing the importance of investing in agricultural education, scientific research, and innovation to build a more sustainable agricultural sector.
The visit focused on strengthening cooperation between Lebanon and the Netherlands in areas such as agricultural research, modern farming technologies, and academic partnerships.
Mibister Hani and the Lebanese delegation visited Aeres University of Applied Sciences, where they explored the Dutch model of linking education and research with the needs of the agricultural industry.
The delegation also attended discussions in Wageningen on strategies to boost Lebanon’s agricultural exports, improve value chains, and enhance the competitiveness of Lebanese products in international markets.
The Minister described the Dutch experience as a global model for integrating research, education, innovation, and agricultural production, reaffirming Lebanon’s commitment to modernizing its agricultural sector, supporting farmers, and strengthening food security through international partnerships.
