APS - Algiers International Fair: "Algeria Exhibitions" reveals event's program

ALGIERS - "Algeria Exhibitions," a subsidiary of the Safex Group, revealed the program for the 57th Algiers International Fair on Tuesday, according to a company statement.

The event will be held at the Exhibition Palace from June 22 to 27, under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the statement said.

The new "Palestine Pavilion" will host a series of specialized seminars and panel discussions from June 23 to 25, featuring experts, officials, and economic operators.

According to the statement, the program covers a variety of themes and topics, with the first day dedicated to African cooperation and economic integration. Discussions will explore the prospects of South-South cooperation and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), as well as Algeria's position amid global geopolitical shifts.

The second day will focus on investment, financing, and Algerian-Spanish cooperation. It will feature a review of the business climate in Algeria and the mechanisms in place to support foreign investors, alongside a discussion on economic partnership opportunities between Algeria and Spain and the prospects for their development.

The 2026 edition is highlighted by Spain's participation as the guest of honor. According to a previous company statement, this "step reflects the positive dynamic recently witnessed in Algerian-Spanish relations, and is an opportunity to enhance bilateral cooperation and explore new avenues for partnership between Algerian and Spanish institutions across several strategic sectors."

The program concludes on the third day with two main topics: mining resources and technological innovation. According to the statement, a spotlight will be placed on Algeria's mining potential and investment opportunities within the sector, as well as the role of innovation and artificial intelligence in supporting economic transformation and fostering technology transfer.

The fair covers a variety of sectors, including the food industry, electrical and household appliances, mechanical, iron and steel industries, manufacturing, public works, and construction, in addition to the services sector. Dedicated spaces for exhibitions and direct sales have been allocated, allowing exhibitors to promote their products and strengthen their market presence.
