AC Milan on Monday sacked head coach Massimiliano Allegri, just a year after bringing him in for a second stint in charge of the seven-time European champions, as part of a major overhaul following their failure to qualify for next season's Champions League.
Also sacked were CEO Giorgio Furlani, Sporting Director Igli Tare, and Technical Director Geoffrey Moncada.
The Rossoneri said in a statement: "It's time for change and a profound reorganization of the Club's sporting department.
"Effective immediately, the tenures of CEO Giorgio Furlani, Sporting Director Igli Tare, Head Coach Massimiliano Allegri, and Technical Director Geoffrey Moncada at AC Milan have come to an end.
"We extend our thanks to each of them for their work and dedication during their tenure at the Club.
"Further announcements regarding the new appointments will be made as soon as they are finalized, with the aim of having a structure ready for next season.
The statement from owners Redbird, led by US businessman Gerry Cardinale cited "unequivocal failure" as a reason for the overhaul.
Milan will play the Europa League next season along with another hugely disappointed Serie A giant, Juventus.
