ALGIERS - Seven OPEC+ member states, including Algeria, agreed on Sunday to a collective oil production increase of 188,000 barrels per day (bpd) for the month of June, the Ministry of Energy said in a statement.
The agreement was reached during a coordination meeting of the seven OPEC+ member states currently implementing voluntary production adjustments, namely Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Oman and Russia.
The session was attended via videoconference by Minister of State and Minister of Energy Mohamed Arkab, as well as the Chairman of the National Agency for the Valorization of Hydrocarbon Resources (ALNAFT), Samir Bakhti, alongside senior officials from the sector.
