TIRANA, March 26 /ATA/ Foreign direct investments have continued to grow for the fifth consecutive year, reaching an all- time level of 1.64 billion euros in 2025.
According to the report published by the Bank of Albania, foreign direct investments recorded a 3.5% increase compared to 2024.
The Bank of Albania highlights that this annual growth has primarily been driven by new investments.
These new investments reached a value of 798 million euros, marking an increase of 13.5% compared to the previous year, while reinvested profits were valued at 837 million euros.
The data shows that reinvested profits remain the largest component of the structure of foreign investments, accounting for over 51% of the total annual investments.
In the fourth quarter of 2025 alone, the inflows of investments were valued at 427 million euros.
According to the Bank of Albania, during this period, foreign investments were primarily concentrated in real estate, which accounted for 37% of the total. Meanwhile, the financial intermediation, energy, and hydrocarbons sectors contributed 17%, 9%, and 6%, respectively, while the communications sector represented 5% of the incoming flows.
