APS - Alimentaria 2026: Algeria showcases agri-food potential in Barcelona

BARCELONA - Algeria is participating in the international food exhibition "Alimentaria 2026," which opened Monday in Barcelona, Spain.

The event features a wide array of global economic operators and industry experts, according to a statement from the Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion.

The Algerian participation is centered around a dedicated national pavilion organized by the Ministry. It features a delegation of Algerian economic operators specialized in exports, particularly within the agricultural and agri-food sectors.

Through its presence at this major international event, Algeria aims to highlight the quality and diversity of its national products and promote its growing export capacities. The exhibition also offers a platform for Algerian businesses to explore new partnerships and investment opportunities while strengthening the positioning of Algerian goods in international markets.

Running from March 23 to 26, the exhibition serves as a global platform for exchanging expertise and knowledge regarding the latest developments in the food industry. It further acts as a strategic space for developing trade relations and establishing partnerships between economic stakeholders from across the globe.

This participation aligns with national efforts to support and promote non-hydrocarbon exports. It also aims to assist Algerian enterprises in penetrating foreign markets, thereby enhancing the international competitiveness of the "Made in Algeria" label.
