TIRANA, March 17/ATA/- There are more and more visitors to the sites of our cultural and historical heritage.

Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports Blendi Gonxhja stated today that 42,251 local and foreign visitors have chosen to have a taste of history and culture from very close during the first two months of 2026.

Gonxhja said that 21,134 of them have visited national museums, 14,394 archaeological parks and 6,723 forts and cultural monuments.

Minister Gonxhja also highlighted that the 3 most visited sites are Shkodra Archaeological Park with 8,587 visitors, the “Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg” National Museum with 8,176 visitors and Gjirokastra Castle with 5,513 visitors. /p.s./
