MAP - RAM et Safran renforcent leur partenariat dans la maintenance des moteurs d’avion

Casablanca -19 avril 2024-(MAP)- Royal Air Maroc (RAM) et Safran ont signé, jeudi à Casablanca, un mémorandum d'entente (MoU) pour le renforcement de leur partenariat dans la maintenance des moteurs d’avion, en présence du ministre du Transport et de la Logistique, Mohammed Abdeljalil.

Signé par le Président Directeur Général de Royal Air Maroc, Hamid Addou, et le Président de Safran Aircraft Engines, JeanPaul Alary, ce MoU acte la poursuite de la croissance du site actuelle Safran Aircraft Engines Services Maroc (SAESM), comprenant une augmentation de sa capacité de 2.000 m2 supplémentaires pour un investissement de 30 millions de dirhams (MDH) et permettant d’accroitre le nombre d’opérations de maintenance de 70 à 100 "shop visits" par an d’ici 2026 ainsi que la création de 100 emplois.

Cette extension permettra à SAESM de renforcer ainsi sa position de centre d’excellence de la gamme de moteurs CFM56 au sein du réseau mondial de maintenance et de réparation (MRO) de Safran, proposant aux compagnies aériennes une gamme complète de services couvrant la totalité du processus de maintenance, du diagnostic jusqu'à la garantie de performance au banc d'essai.

Développés par Safran Aircraft Engines et GE Aerospace dans le cadre de leur société commune, les moteurs CFM56 équipent la majorité des avions des familles Airbus A320 et Boeing 737 avec plus de 33.000 exemplaires livrés.

"Nous inaugurons aujourd’hui une nouvelle phase de notre partenariat qui date de 1999 avec le constructeur Safran. Au-delà de l’extension du site de Casablanca, cet accord permettra de renforcer notre expertise dans l’industrie aéronautique", a déclaré M. Addou, se félicitant de la contribution de RAM, aux côtés de Safran, au développement de l’industrie aéronautique au Maroc et à positionner davantage le Maroc dans l’industrie aéronautique mondiale.

La signature du MoU offre une perspective claire de l'avenir, avec une augmentation prévue du nombre des "shop visits" par an, passant de 70 à 100. De plus, cette collaboration permettra également au Maroc de se tourner vers les moteurs de nouvelle génération développés par Safran, renforçant ainsi la position du pays sur la carte stratégique de l'industrie aéronautique.

Pour accompagner ce développement, a-t-il ajouté, l’entreprise prévoit également de recruter une centaine de personnes d’ici à 2026, portant l’effectif global à 350 personnes. Elle s’appuiera sur des partenariats académiques locaux structurants, soutenus par RAM et Safran Aircraft Engines, pour le développement de l’expertise MRO au Maroc.

De son côté, M. Alary a soutenu que Safran Aircraft Engines bénéficie au Maroc d’un écosystème de compétences au meilleur niveau et adapté aux forts enjeux industriels sur le CFM56.

"Depuis sa création il y a 25 ans, SAESM est devenu une référence de notre réseau mondial MRO en termes d’excellence opérationnelle, de capacité d’innovation et de réduction de son empreinte carbone", a-t-il fait savoir.

Dans le but de contribuer à réduire les émissions de CO2 des installations Safran, le site investit dans l’installation de panneaux photovoltaïques sur le toit, d’ombrières sur le parking, avec l’objectif d’atteindre un volume d’énergie renouvelable de 30% dès 2025.

A cette occasion, qui coïncide avec les 25 ans de sa création, Safran Aircraft Engine Services Morocco (SAESM), société commune entre Safran Aircraft Engines et Royal Air Maroc, a inauguré l’extension de son site de Nouaceur, implanté sur la zone de l’aéroport Mohammed V de Casablanca
