Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Six killed on Easter roads

Lisbon, Apr. 22, 2019 (Lusa) – Six people were killed in more than 760 road accidents, the militarised police force responsible for policing outside urban centres (GNR) said on Monday as their Easter Operation was coming to an end.
The police arrested 120 people for drunk driving.
The figures the police revealed on Monday also include 27 serious injuries.
They also arrested 40 people for driving without a licence and fined 2,462 for speeding, 228 for not having the mandatory vehicle inspection, 187 for problems with lights or indicators, 144 for not wearing a seatbelt or using child’s sea and 142 for using a mobile phone while driving.
Another 85 were fined for not having insurance.
